CLEVELAND, Ohio — The FOX 8 I-TEAM has learned the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation has turned over to prosecutors findings on a “use of force” incident at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Justice Center.
The I-TEAM first reported weeks ago, Cuyahoga Sheriff’s Department requested BCI handle the investigation. A letter to BCI shows the incident involved a deputy and a juvenile resident at the juvenile center. It happened on April 5.
The Ohio Attorney General’s office says investigators this week turned over their file on the case to the Cuyahoga County prosecutor.
The prosecutor’s office says the matter is being reviewed.
BCI has not released the name of the deputy involved as he is not currently facing charges.
