CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The cicadas have arrived in Northeast Ohio!
But you don't have to be annoyed by them. You can actually cook with them!
Jarrod McCarthy, manager of Enterprise Operations with Cleveland Metroparks, and Mark Warman, an education specialist and cicada expert, stopped at Fox 8 News Thursday.
They shared some insight into the bugs and cooking -- yes cooking -- with them.
Fox 8's own Patty Harken and Wayne Dawson were brave enough to taste test.

The cicadas are a little late due to a cool spring. Naturalists predicted they would come out of the ground May 23.
Naturalist Jake Kudrna told FOX 8 that any kind of noise attracts them. "Snapping your fingers, lawnmowers are going to attract them, weed wackers, any loud noises really.”
The cicadas will not be around the week of the RNC. However, there will be a lot of dead bugs around and their shells will stink a little.
