CLEVELAND– The FOX 8 I TEAM has now obtained more protest permit applications filed with the City of Cleveland for the week of the Republican National Convention.
City Hall just released the latest filings to FOX 8.
They include plans for more protests against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Another application shows a march against racism with potentially 10,000 people.
Just Thursday, the American Civil Liberties Union sent a letter to Cleveland City Hall demanding the city start issuing permits.
Protesters have become anxious since no protest/parade permits have been issued yet. And protesters say permits have been issued in Philadelphia for the Democratic Convention a week after the Republican Convention.
The ACLU has told Cleveland to start issuing permits by June 1 or end up in court. The ACLU calls the delay an infringement on First Amendment rights.
Earlier, groups filed for permits to rally and march for and against Trump, for more help for the poor, and for First Amendment rights.
