SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio-- A fire which destroyed a pet care center may have started in an area where chicks were held.
One cat, two dogs and several chicks died in the fire at Arlington Pet Care on South Arlington Road in Springfield Township. It started just before 9 p.m. Tuesday. A hen house was behind the structure, where chickens were raised and farm-fresh eggs were offered.
Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire.
Firefighters from several departments, including Akron and Green, were called in to help fight the flames.
