FREMONT, Ohio-- They say in Sandusky County that the area is "alive" with history.

Fox 8 News reporter Suzanne Stratford and videographer Doug Herrmann learned just how lively while shooting a report in downtown Fremont.

They were investigating numerous claims of "shadow people" inside and near the historic county building, which once housed the sheriff's family, old jail and sits above one of the nation's last-standing dungeons; all of which is built upon the same land where a significant battle was fought in the war of 1812.

David Thornbury with the Sandusky County Convention and Visitors Bureau said, "The area would be connected to hundreds of deaths."

It's unclear what might be causing the strange anomalies, but our cameras caught something that day.
