Police: 12-year-old shot in drive-by while sitting on couch

CLEVELAND- Cleveland police continue to investigate a shooting that injured a teen Sunday.

According to the police report, the 12-year-old victim was inside a home in the 4000 block of East 153rd, when bullets struck the home.

The victim was sitting on the couch and was hit in the lower back.

The teen’s grandmother said she heard several shots Sunday evening. 4 bullet holes were discovered in the front window and 1 in the front door.

The teen is now being treated at University Hospitals.

A total of three people were shot near East 87th and Superior. Nearly 20 shell casings were found in the area.

It doesn’t appear the incidents are related.

At this time, no arrests have been made in the case.
