CLEVELAND – Cleveland police now report that the young shooting victim of an apparent drive-by shooting was 12-years-old and not 9 as originally thought.

The victim was on the porch of a house with several other people near East 66th Street and Superior Avenue on Cleveland’s east side Saturday when a van drove by the home.  Someone in the van opened fire, hitting the boy in the knee.

He was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital by his uncle. His condition is not known at this time and police are continuing their investigation.
