CUYAHOGA FALLS- A disabled Vietnam veteran is questioning why a local Home Depot put flowers and other plants in two handicap parking spaces.

Eddie Anthony, of Akron, said when he went to the Home Depot in Cuyahoga Falls Saturday he attempted to park in a handicap space but couldn't find one available.

"They all had vehicles in them except for two that had flowers," Anthony told Fox 8 Monday. "The space marked for veterans was taken too."

Anthony has knee issues and has trouble walking far so when he went to Home Depot to buy a birdbath for his backyard he tried to park near an entrance.

"People who have the handicap placard deserve to use the spaces, " Anthony said.

He told us he contacted store officials but they didn't resolve the matter.

When Fox 8 went to the store Monday, the manager told us they have put the plants in the same area for 18 years and never received a complaint. The manager said they will fix the issue soon.
