Sweet, & curious: Meet these pups up for adoption at the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio — May will be a busy month for the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.

The shelter is holding its first ever Derby Day Fundraiser from 2 to 8 p.m. May 7 at Mad Mike’s Bar and Grille on Turney Road in Garfield.

The event will benefit dogs like this week’s featured pups, Sebastian, Sassy and Sweet Tea.

Tickets are $15 and include an all-you-can-eat buffet, one drink ticket and one raffle ticket. There will be raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are available at the shelter and at Mad Mike’s.

The shelter will also be at the Veg Fest at the Cleveland Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 8. They’ll be there supporting healthy living.

Adoption fees at the shelter are $95 and include microchipping, a license, the first set of vaccinations, spay/neuter and a rabies tag.
