HOLLYWOOD, CA –  A baby “legend” has been born.

Proud parents John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have announced that their daughter, Luna Simone Stephens, was born on Thursday, April 14th. The baby, according to mom’s Instagram post, weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces.

Legend is over-the-moon happy with the new addition, tweeting out that his “new love” is here.

The pair had shared their struggles to get pregnant and talked about their fertility treatments.

They also caused a bit of controversy when they revealed that they chose the sex of their child during those treatments:

“I’ve made this decision,” Teigen told PEOPLE. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’ ”

For now the family is enjoying their time together, even though, as Teigen says in her post, they’re all “sleepy, very sleepy!”
