YOUNGSTOWN – Police are continuing to investigate after a 3-year-old girl was shot Saturday night in Youngstown.

According to WKBN, the little girl was injured while inside a home on East Boston Avenue.

Dionte Robinson, 24, was arrested on Sunday in connection with the shooting.

He was charged with child endangerment.

She was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and it appears that she will recover fine.

She was only shot once, but the bullet went through both legs. Police say Robinson was holding her when he took a gun out of his waistband and accidentally fired it.

She was airlifted to Akron Children’s Hospital later on in the night.
