COLUMBUS- Our own Gabe Spiegel finally got a bucket.

Gabe played in a charity basketball game in Columbus Thursday night. It benefited Buckeyes Beyond the Field, a mentorship program where former Buckeyes help kids in and out of the classroom.

Gabe was a part of the gray team, you might recognize some stars on the scarlet team, like Brush High School grad and Buckeye WR Roy Hall. Hall lead the scarlet team to victory with his electrifying dunk. Scarlet Buckeyes won 100-86. Legendary basketball player Scoonie Penn was supposed to play for the gray team, but once he saw Gabe, he decided not to dress. We are just kidding..

Gabe’s 9-year old daughter Claudia recorded the video. We’re not sure who was happier… that Gabe made a basket-- Gabe (he’s never played organized bball before) or his little girl who captured it perfectly on video.
