CLEVELAND-- A local family is seeking justice for their son, who was shot and killed on Cleveland's west side in 2013.

Matthew Huffman, 28, was robbed and shot while with a friend on Lorain Avenue near West 143rd Street.

"I never got to say goodbye. That is the biggest thing, the hardest part for me," said Mary Ann Huffman, the victim's mother.

On the day he was killed, Matthew, who struggled with disabilities, had just gotten his first apartment.

"He was so excited," Mary Ann said.

Matthew and his friend were going to get dinner when they were robbed by three men.  One of the suspects shot Matthew in the chest. He died shortly after the shooting.

"He was such a vibrant person," said Bill, Matthew's father. "People that were around him were better for knowing him because Matthew just glowed."

No arrests have been made and Matthews family is asking for help.

"Someone knows something," Mary Ann said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cuyahoga County Crime Stoppers or send them an email.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible.
