CLEVELAND-- Tuesday was a historic day, as the United State commemorates 50 years since the Vietnam War.

Veterans, their families and community leaders gathered at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center to share their stories and memories. It was also a chance to thank and honor veterans who served in that war, but may not have been celebrated when they returned home.

"Most of us volunteer for it," local Vietnam veteran Jerry Bularz said. "We felt our country called and we answered the call."

Tuesday's ceremony recognized those who served between 1955 and 1975.
