KENTUCKY – The body of a Milford, Ohio man was found inside a car pulled from the Ohio River on Saturday.

According to WCPO, the car was pushed off the Combs-Hehl Bridge on March 15 during several chain-reaction car crashes.

It took nearly 11 days to recover the car because river conditions did not allow for a diver to safely be in the water.

A diver was able to attach cables to the car, which was pulled up upside down.

It took more than an hour for the diver to hook up the cables.

Officials said the car was mostly full of sand and mud.

Callers said they saw several people in the water after the crash, but only one body was recovered Saturday.
