CLEVELAND, Ohio — In an effort to forge a better relationship with the community, Cleveland police officers came together with area children Saturday at the Boys and Girls Club.

It was part of the “Coffee with Cops” event.

The children got to eat pizza, got haircuts and visited with Cleveland officers during the event. Their parents had the coffee.

Ron Soeder, president of the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland said the event was held to help with “tension in the community with police relationships.”

“They can see police as human beings and people who care about their community,” he said.
