SOUTH EUCLID, OH – South Euclid police made a traffic stop Friday night and wound up locating a suspect in several area burglaries.

18-year-old Jeremy Harper was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation in Bexley Park. He gave officers a false social security number, and when he realized that the police knew this, he ran away from the vehicle.

Officers chased him as he ran into a residential neighborhood. After calling in off-duty police as well as University Heights Police for additional help, he was found hiding underneath a pile of leaves in a backyard.

After escorting him out of his leafy hiding place, in addition to the burglary warrants, Harper  was charged with obstructing official business, providing false information, and other related offenses.
