COCOA, Fla. — It’s the grand prize when you pull up to a building: front space parking.
But would you give up that prime spot to a veteran, police officer or firefighter?
USA Today reports that one Florida city has rolled out the first “post-preferred parking privileges” outside its city hall.
Three spots outside of city hall in the city of Cocoa are reserved for veterans, officers and firefighters. More are planned for a busy municipal lot nearby.
The buzz also caught the attention of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, which is also adopting the policy.
