GREEN, Ohio — A man found guilty of a charge in connection with the drowning death of 18-year-old Brandi Morgan will spend time in jail.

A judge this week sentenced Charles Vlad, 56, to 60 days in jail starting April 20. Vlad will then serve 120 days of home confinement with monitoring. He was also fined $500.

Police say Vlad was with Morgan when she drowned in a pond behind Evan’s Supply, 2448 Greensbur Road, last year. Vlad was the one who made the 911 call.

Morgan’s death was later ruled accidental. Hypothermia and ethyl alcohol intoxication were contributing factors in her death.
