BRUNSWICK - Candles lit up a dark parking lot Tuesday night, less than 24 hours after an apartment building on Beverly Hills Drive in Brunswick caught on fire, claiming the life of a 4-year-old girl.

"We are just showing the family that Brunswick is behind them," said Ashley Holler, family friend.

Family members say her name was Keegan.  She just turned four last month.

"My niece went to head start with Keegan. They knew each other from going back and forth to school," said Holler.

Around 30 people held candles and sang in the dark.

Family members say Keegan's parents were able to get her other two sisters out.

Keegan's mother was taken to MetroHealth after injuring herself trying to get through a window to her daughter.

A relative says one of the sisters was taken to Akron Children's Hospital, as well.

Investigators say the fire destroyed 12 apartments.  People who lived in 12 surrounding units were also evacuated.  A total of 24 families in all were displaced.

"It's scary.  I used to live over here and I know all the families over here.  It's unbelievable," said Holler.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Keegan's family.
