U.S. Coast Guard suspends search for man who fell off Royal Caribbean cruise ship
KEY LARGO, Florida – The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search for a man in the ocean that fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship early Saturday morning.
In a release, the Coast Guard said they were searching for a 46-year-old man who fell off the ship near the coast of Key Largo, Florida.
The Coast Guard got a call around 3 a.m. It said the man fell 100 feet from the 10th deck of the boat and into the ocean.
A helicopter and several coast guard boats were dispatched for the search.
Crews searched 1,676 square nautical miles before calling off the search.
