U.S. Coast Guard searching for man who fell off Royal Caribbean cruise ship off Florida coast

KEY LARGO, Florida – The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a man in the ocean that they believe fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

In a release, the Coast Guard said they were searching for a 46-year-old man who fell off the ship near the coast of Key Largo, Florida, Saturday morning.

The Coast Guard got a call around 3 a.m. about a man who fell about 100 feet from the 10th deck of the boat and into the ocean.

A helicopter and several coast guard boats were dispatched for the search.

At this point, crews have already searched 946 square nautical miles and will continue the search all night.
