CLEVELAND - Scott Savol remembers his time on American Idol fondly and is grateful for the experience.
“I was always kind of a quiet person," Scott told Bill Martin. "I did have a lot of belief of myself but once I got out there and saw that most people find something that they’re good at, that people accept and people enjoy, I found that with idol."
Scott landed in the Top 5 on season 4, the same year as Carrie Underwood.
Now, he works for a local cable provider while he sings with his band 'Avenue' in his free time.
He said although stardom hasn't hit, he doesn't think he's failed.
”I had to suck up the fact that age doesn’t matter. It’s just whenever something happened you know. If something good comes out of it, we’ll make the best of it.”
