CLEVELAND – Weddings don’t come cheap. But it seems that they really don’t come cheap in Cleveland.

The blog Thumbtack Journal decided to take a look at all the costs involved in a wedding, from the dress to the venue to the catering to the photographers. The national average for nuptials comes in at $12,189  for a wedding with less than 100 guests.

But that’s just the average. Some cities fall below that price and others…..they’re above it.

Cleveland is included in the “above” side of that price. It seems that Cleveland is the 8th most expensive city in which to host a wedding, with an average cost of $13,416. The average cost of wedding flowers in Cleveland was among the highest in the country.

In case you are wondering, New York City ranks as the most expensive wedding city. The only other Ohio city on the list, Columbus, comes in at #21.
