LEXINGTON TOWNSHIP, OH – Two Atwater residents were killed when their car drove off the road in Stark County Friday evening.

Leland Wright, 24, and Aubrie White, 28, were in a car that was driving east on State Route 619 at what the Ohio State Patrol describes as a “high rate of speed.” The car lost control, drove off the road, hit a utility pole and a number of trees and finally came to a stop. Wright and White were both declared dead at the scene.

SR 619 was closed for about 5 hours following this accident. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
