Lost tapes reveal Apollo astronauts heard ‘music’ on far side of the moon

It was 1969 and the Apollo 10 astronauts were orbiting around the moon. They heard something odd, so odd that they weren’t even sure what it could have been.

According to the Huffington Post, everyone on Earth thought the mission went flawlessly, but the astronauts knew something weird had happened.

While the astronauts are on the far side of the moon, they lost radio contact with Earth for about an hour. During that time, their radio transmission was recorded so it could be listened to later on. The recordings were transcribed and buried after the mission.

Four decades later, these recordings have now been uncovered.

In a new series, “NASA’s Unexplained Files,” the Science Channel digs deeper to try and find out what those mysterious noises really were.
