Many parents worry about the friends their children will choose.

One psychologist says it may be good for your child to play with kids who may be a bad influence on them.

In a blog for Huffington Post, Dr. Samantha Rodman says if your child is shy, scared or uptight they may need loosened up a little.

Rodman says spending time with a more rambunctious child may be good for a shy kids emotional and social development.

Rodman also says that if you try too hard to control who your child chooses as friends, they may rebel later in life.
