CLEVELAND – Police officers are searching for four suspects that led them on a chase early Wednesday morning.

Reports state the four men robbed a woman at gunpoint around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday on East 93 and Carton.

“They took cash and other items from her,” said Sergeant Jennifer Ciaccia, of the Cleveland Police Department.

The victim told police the four suspects were in two different vehicles. Police later learned the suspects dumped one of the cars, and all four were in a Black Kia.

Officers spotted the car, when the suspects refused to stop, police pursued the vehicle.

Police called off the chase near the Shaker Square area, after two police vehicles bumped each other causing minor damage.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to call police as soon as possible.

“We are asking that if the vehicle is seen that people do not try to approach, instead please call police,” Ciaccia said, noting the suspects are armed.
