Ambulance taking patient to hospital flips over in Lake County; no one seriously hurt

LAKE COUNTY, Ohio– An ambulance flipped over while taking a patient to Geneva Hospital at around 10:30 Tuesday night.

It happened on Route 20, east of County Line Road in Geneva.

According to Madison fire, the ambulance was taking a male patient to the hospital when they encountered ruts in the road. The driver overcompensated, causing the ambulance to flip over. No one was seriously hurt.

The medics were treated at a local hospital and released. The patient was later transferred to Geneva Hospital, where he was originally being taken.

The fire chief says the roads were in bad shape at the time.
