Cleveland police: 3-year-old safe after car she was in stolen from gas station

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police tell Fox 8 that a car stolen from a gas station was carrying a 3-year-old child.

The car was left running in the gas station parking lot at East 30th and Carnegie Avenues in Cleveland. The child's uncle went into the gas station to pay for gas with the child inside and keys in ignition.

The toddler was found 10 minutes later walking on Broadway. The child told police that there were three men in the car with her.  She is being checked by EMS but appears unharmed.

Police are actively searching for the car, a gold Chevy Equinox with Ohio license plate GML9618.
