SEBRING, Ohio-- Sebring Local Schools will reopen on Wednesday after the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency released the results of testing on Sebring's water supply on Tuesday.

Classes at Sebring Local Schools were canceled on Friday, Monday and Tuesday after high levels of lead were found in the area's water.

The EPA said of 123 samples taken at the schools, two were above the federal allowable level for lead. The Ohio EPA took samples from drinking fountains, spigots and food preparation sinks.

There was no detection of lead at West Branch Middle School and athletic building.

Two samples from McKinley Junior/Senior High had above the federal standard of lead. Lead levels in 15 samples from BL Elementary School were below federal standards.

The EPA gave all the results to the Mahoning County director of public health and the Sebring Local Schools superintendent so they could determine what precautions may need to be taken.

Once again, Sebring Local Schools will reopen on Wednesday. The school posted the following message on its website:

Our water tests results are in: two fountains at the high school are above the EPA recommended limit.  These two fountains have been unplugged, water has been shut off, and they are now unusable.  School is back in session tomorrow.  As a reminder, students are always permitted to bring in their own bottled water and hand sanitizer.
