Good Samaritan shot, killed by North Carolina driver stuck in snow

NORTH CAROLINA – A 27-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed a Good Samaritan who stopped to help him when his car was stuck in the snow.

According to ABC News, the suspect’s car slid off the road in North Carolina and several people stopped to help him.

The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office told ABC News that the people thought something was odd about the man, so they were going to call police.

The suspect, Marvin Lee, then got out of the stuck car and shot at one of the men. He then walked closer and shot the man several more times.

The victim, 26-year-old Jefferson Heavner, was killed.

Lee was arrested as he was still in his stuck car when police arrived.
