On the issues:
Economy: Trump has a lot of ideas on how to improve the economy, including simplifying the tax code, eliminating the death tax and capping taxes for businesses at 15 percent.
Education: He opposes the Common Core standards and believes the Department of U.S. should be dramatically scaled down.
Environment: Trump has called climate change a hoax and is against wind turbines.
Gun control/rights: Trump supports Second Amendment rights. He says we need to enforce the laws already on the books and that starts by prosecuting violent criminals.
Health care: Like many other Republican candidates, Trump wants to repeal and replace Obamacare. He says abortion should be banned, except in time of rape, incest or threatening the life of the mother.
Immigration: The businessman says the U.S. needs a wall along the southern border and Mexico should pay for it. He wants to defund sanctuary cities, return criminal immigrants to their countries of origin and stiffen penalties for those who overstay their visas.
National security: “Nobody would be tougher on ISIS than Donald Trump,” Trump said. He says the key to taking down the radical Islamic State is to cuff off their resources and finding the right leader to command U.S. forces. He believes the U.S. has mishandled negotiations with Iran.
Social issues: Trump feels marriage is between a man and a woman, and should be left up to the states.
