PEPPER PIKE – The Cleveland Division of the FBI is investigating after a bank robbery occurred in Pepper Pike just after noon on Friday.

Witnesses told police that a white male walked into the Key Bank on Chagrin Boulevard wearing a ski mask and scarf.

When he entered the bank, his scarf fell off and showed that he had blonde facial hair and was wearing a yellow sweatshirt that possibly read ‘West Virginia.’

The teller told police that the man approached with an empty box, acting as if it contained a bomb. He then demanded 50 and 100 dollar bills.

He left the bank with an unknown amount of cash, cut through a church parking lot and got into a grey truck, possibly a Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone with information should contact Pepper Pike police at 216-831-1424 or the Cleveland FBI office at 216-522-1400.
