CANTON, Ohio– Two people are facing charges after their son became stuck in the toilet while he was left home alone.

Canton officers were called to an apartment on Kingston Drive Southeast on Thursday. According to police, neighbors reported hearing a child crying for help for more than 30 minutes.

The apartment’s maintenance let officers into the apartment, where they found a 20-month-old boy stuck in the toilet. The child was home alone. Police said they also located three marijuana plants in the home.

His mother, 20-year-old Justice Chance, was found shopping at Walmart. Chance and the boy’s father, 20-year-old Rashaan Cuffee, were charged with child endangering and marijuana cultivation.
