CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Browns have hired Ray Horton as the defensive coordinator, Fox 8’s John Telich has confirmed with a league source.

Horton interviewed for the job earlier this week.

Recently, new head coach Hue Jackson retained Chris Tabor as the special teams coordinator and let go offensive coordinator John DeFillipo.

Horton was the defensive coordinator for the Browns in 2013 and was fired after just one season. He has spent the last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans.

The Browns have also hired Kirby Wilson as the running game coordinator, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
