Four inmates at correctional facility in Summit County treated for synthetic marijuana

AKRON, Ohio– Four people at the Summit County Community Based Correctional Facility in Akron became ill after using suspected synthetic marijuana, the sheriff’s office says.

At about midnight Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies responded to the facility on East Crosier Street. According to the sheriff’s office, three people were taken to local hospitals and a fourth people was treated at the scene.

Oriana House provides security and supervision at the Summit County Community Based Correctional Facility, The sheriff’s office said they do not have personnel assigned to the complex and they responded since it’s close to the county jail.
