Suspect slams truck into Cleveland supermarket, steals ATM

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A truck smashed through a business in Ohio City overnight in the theft of an ATM.

It happened at around 4 a.m. at Dave's Supermarket, 2700 Carroll Ave.

A man told police that he was stocking shelves in the store when he heard a loud boom and saw the truck in the store.

He told police he ran out of the store for safety and did not see the driver of the truck.

Police say the vehicle used in the crime was determined to be stolen.

The ATM was taken from the store.

The incident is just the latest in a rash of ATM thefts in the area.
