COLUMBUS – The Green family is calling it a Christmas miracle after their dog was found in Michigan, more than 250 miles away from their Columbus home.

“He’s a fighter. He’s a fighter. He’s a snippy one; must be, I mean, he had to be with somebody and on his own. I don’t know,” said Ta-Shina Green, Rexxn’s owner.

According to ABC 6, Rexxn went missing 3 years ago, but the family still kept his toys and his cage.

Recently, the American Kennel Club reached the Green family and told them Rexxn had been found.

“Pretty surreal even to this moment. I don’t know, it’s unbelievable,” said Darrin Green.

Rexxn had a microchip, helping him to be reunited with his family.

When he was found, he had some fleas and matted hair, but he is now getting better.

“I would like to know what’s going through his head, what’s he thinking about, yeah if dogs could talk,” said the Greens.

The family still has no idea how Rexxn got so far from home.
