Alexis Ceja was doing what she could to make this a Merry Christmas for her 3-year-old son. So, she put toys on layaway at the Walmart in Lorain.

"I'm just graduating school in September so it's been kind of rough having to transition into paying the bills, getting Christmas ready," Ceja said.

She said when she went in to pay off the layaway, she was told there was a zero balance. At first, she thought it was a joke.

The 'layaway angel' paid off customers' bills at the Steelyard Commons Walmart too.

The generous donor, who insists on remaining anonymous, is leaving families shocked and in tears.

"I'm trying hard not to now, because now that money can go towards my son's it really meant a lot," Ceja said.
