Joe Haden out this Sunday, Terrelle Pryor may see the field for Browns against 49ers
BEREA, Ohio – Joe Haden will remain out for the Browns this Sunday as they take on the San Francisco 49ers.
Haden has missed a good portion of the season with concussion injuries.

“We’re probably not as aggressive with our safeties as maybe we have been in the past when Joe was out there,” said head coach Mike Pettine.
“It will be (DB Charles) Gaines to start,” Pettine added. “It will Gaines and (DB) Tramon (Williams) with (DB) K’Waun (Williams) inside.”
Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel also suffered concussions recently, but said that the Browns have taken great care of easing them back into the game.
“They’re doing pretty good. They’re the same guys. I feel like nothing has changed with the guys so I feel like they’ve been doing pretty good. Prayers go out to those guys. Hopefully, they can recover fast,” Gabriel said about Haden and Hawkins, who both are still out.
The Browns recently signed Terrelle Pryor and he has has been practicing, but Pettine said he might not be ready for a full roll this Sunday.
“He is trained primarily this week as the split end, the X receiver, but we can move him around some. There is some flexibility in the system,” Pettine said.
“He is not fully versed on the entire route tree so we are not going to put him in that position where he has to run everything. The positive thing is the way he came back here. We can potentially work him in early and get him some playing time between now and the end of the year.”
When asked if Pryor improved during his time without the Browns, Pettine said that he definitely has and the coaching staff has noticed it.
Johnny Manziel is starting as quarterback this Sunday.
