Crews battle fire on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND-- Firefighters were battling a blaze on Cleveland's east side Thursday morning.

The fire broke out at about 4 a.m. at an abandoned apartment building at East 125th Street and Hower Avenue. That's just off of Superior Avenue.

Crews are trying to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes. There are about 40 to 50 firefighters at the scene.

No injuries have been reported.
