NEWFOUNDLAND — A high school student takes a stand against bullying after she was voted fourth ugliest girl at her high school.

CBC reports that Lynelle Cantwell learned in class this week that she was on the list, posted on the social media site ask.fm. The site allows users to post and comment anonymously.

After thinking all day about what happened, she responded with her own post on Facebook.

It said in part:

“I’m sorry that you don’t get to know me as a person. I know that i’m not the prettiest thing to look at. I know i have a double chin and i fit in XL clothes. I know i don’t have the perfect smile or the perfect face. But i’m sorry for you. Not myself.”

Her post has been shared thousands of times.
