Oscar-nominated actor Robert Loggia dead at 85

LOS ANGELES  — Oscar-nominated actor Robert Loggia is dead at 85, according to TMZ.

His wife told TMZ that Loggia had been battling Alzheimer’s for nearly 5 years and his health took a turn for the worse on Wednesday.

Loggia was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for “Jagged Edge.”

His wife Audrey said she and their daughter Cynthia were at his side when he passed away. The couple had been married for 33 years and had 4 children together.

She told TMZ, “He was an awesome husband and an awesome father.”
