Man tried to pull 14-year-old girl into car, Parma police say

PARMA, Ohio-- A 14-year-old girl escaped an attempted abduction Tuesday afternoon in Parma, police said.

The incident happened at about 3:20 p.m. on Schwab Drive near York Road.

According to Parma police, the 14-year-old was dropped off by the school bus and was walking home when a man stopped his car nearby. The man walked up to the teen, grabbed her arm and tried to pull her to his car, police said.

The man took off when the girl fought back.

Parma police said the suspect was driving a bright red, four-door, mid-size vehicle.
