Akron woman sentenced for ‘glitter-bombing’ office

AKRON, Ohio– An Akron woman was sentenced for trashing her supervisor’s office with glitter on Tuesday.

Samantha Lockhart, 25, was found guilty of vandalism, and sentenced to nine months in prison, which was suspended.

Akron police said after Lockhart resigned from her job at the Summit County Fiscal Office, she broke into the building with a man in January. She covered her former supervisor’s cubicle with toilet paper, silly string and glitter, according to police.

The supervisor’s clothing and family photos were also damaged. Police said there was a white powder on much of the office equipment and the victim’s coffee cup.

Lockhart will be on community control for 18 months, in addition to paying $1,000 and doing 50 hours of community service. Shemusts also write a letter of apology.
