CHESTERLAND, Ohio - Stefanie Paganini is a culinary instructor at the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking in Chesterland and also the director of the professional culinary school ICASI.

When it comes perfect seasonal recipes - Stefanie has a wealth of ideas. She shared one of her favorite holiday recipes with Fox 8's Stefani Schaefer. The Morning Show anchor team along with guest Mike Fratello gave the recipe a hearty thumbs up and Kristi simply couldn't get enough.

Apple Cranberry Crisp

Apple Filling:
2  lbs   Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, chopped
½ cup dried cranberries
3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
2 Tbsp Sugar, granulated
2 Tbsp AP Flour
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
 
Topping:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2  tsp. ground nutmeg
1 cup unsalted butter, chopped and chilled

Preheat oven to 350° F.

In a large mixing bowl, mix together apple filling ingredients.
In a separate large bowl, combine flour, oats, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until it resembles coarse bread crumbs.
Place apple mixture in a 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle crumble mixture over the apples.
Bake in oven for approximately 35 minutes, until topping is a rich golden brown.
