Deputies arrest Canton man after heroin found in home with young children

CANTON, Ohio- One man is facing charges after Stark County Sheriff’s deputies found drugs in a house with young children.

The metro narcotics unit searched a home on Young Avenue Northeast in Canton on Monday as part of lengthy drug trafficking investigation. They discovered 5.5 grams of heroin, a loaded Colt 45 pistol, ammunition and digital scales.

According to the Stark County Sheriff’s Office, the drugs and gun were accessible to children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old.

Troy Lyn Williams, 31, was arrested and charged with possession of weapons under a disability, trafficking heroin and two counts of endangering children.
