SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. — A 7-year-old girl in Kentucky was found dead in a creek about 20 minutes after her family lost her in a crowd at a football game.
Gabriella “Gabby” Doolin was with her mother at Allen County-Scottsville High School to watch a football game on Saturday night.
Gabby’s mother told police she vanished while she was cheering on her two brothers who were playing in the game.
WSMV reports they lost Gabriellia in the crowd at about 7:40 p.m. and had an announcer immediately call her name. After the third announcement for Gabriella, the game was stopped, and a search ensued. The school was also locked down.
But at around 8 p.m., Gabriella was found in a creek about 400 yards from the stadium. She was dead.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
