Train catches on fire on Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

PENINSULA, Ohio - A train caught on fire on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Sunday around 3:30p.m.

According to Kim Shafron of the Cuyahoga Vallery Service Railroad, the small fire began on the bottom of a small rail diesel car.

There was no one in that car or the car next to it at the time of the fire and no one was injured.

Firefighters were able to extiguish the fire shortly after it started.

The cause is still being investigated.

The Polar Express will run as scheduled.
